Simple Pole Beans
4 cups trimmed pole beans
1 T butter
1 slice bacon
1 clove garlic, minced
1 t olive oil, or as needed
1/2 t sea salt
1 pinch coarsely ground black pepper to taste
Sauté bacon in butter on stove top until cooked, add green beans along with garlic and sauté one minute more. Add about 1 inch of water into the saucepan, bring water to a boil and cook until water has reduced, 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, serve and enjoy.
